VIII. Problems with Christianity’s Eternal Punishment
#4 of 14)
The scripture states that the Son of man shall reward EVERY MAN according to his works. Once again, the scripture does not state the Lord will reward every believer, but EVERY MAN. If EVERY MAN is rewarded, then how can some men be rewarded and be in forever punishment?
Matt hew 16: 27
27For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then He shall reward every man according to his works.
IX. Judgment Day & The Lake of Fire
#3 of 8)
The scripture states that EVERY MAN’S work shall be tried by fire in the Day of Judgment. Hence, EVERY PERSON will be judged. Scripture states that a man’s work will either bring him a reward, or a man’s work will make him suffer loss. However, the scripture goes on to state that even the man that suffers loss and does not receive a reward will still be saved. Clearly, ALL MEN will be judged, and ALL MEN will be SAVED.
I Corinthians 3: 13-15
13Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 14If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
X. God Saves All
#2 of 17)
The scripture states that no man can say that Jesus is Lord without having the Holy Ghost. Scripture states that whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. The scripture states that EVERYTHING in heaven, on earth, and even under the earth will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. By using scripture to interpret scripture, EVERYONE will call on the name of the Lord and EVERYONE will be saved, as anyone who calls upon the Lord shall be saved!
I Corinthians 12: 3
3That no man can say that Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2: 21
21And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 10: 13
13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
I John 4: 14-15
14the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth
in him, and he in God.
Philippians 2: 10-11
10That at the name of Jesus EVERY knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11And that EVERY tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, that glory of God the Father.
Romans 14: 11
11says the Lord, every knee will bow to me, and every tongue will confess to God.
I Corinthians 4: 5
5And then shall EVERY MAN have praise of God
XII. Questions for a Fundamentalist Christian
What happens to the millions of people that never hear the word of Jesus before they die? These people never had the opportunity to choose Jesus or reject Jesus; so, are these people in eternal punishment in Hell, or do they get an “automatic, free pass” to eternal bliss in Heaven?
Scenario 1: You believe those that never had a choice to choose Jesus go straight to eternal bliss in Heaven.
If you believe those that never had a choice to choose Jesus get an automatic, free pass to eternal bliss in Heaven, then you should be against sending out Christian missionaries. Why give people a chance to choose Jesus when, if they never had a chance to choose Jesus they go straight to eternal bliss in Heaven?
Scenario 2: You believe those that never had a choice to choose Jesus go to eternal punishment in Hell.
If you believe those that never had a choice to choose Jesus go straight to Christianity’s eternal punishment in Hell, then what does this say about the Christian God you worship? Most Christians would say that God is all-powerful. So, God would be allowing people who never had the chance to choose Jesus to suffer “eternally.”
