Delusion in Christianity: “Free” Will
I understand why people believe in free will as we, as human beings, do make choices all the time. However, the choices we make are not “free” choices. God controls man through man’s spirit, according to the Bible. A good example of this in the Bible is when God continually hardens Pharaoh’s heart (spirit). God controls Pharaoh so that Pharaoh will act according to God’s purpose and God’s timing. Scripture continually states that God hardens Pharaoh’s heart so that Pharaoh would not let Moses’ people go until the time at which God had appointed for Pharaoh to let Moses’ people go. God once again hardened Pharaoh’s heart so that Pharaoh would chase after Moses’ people. God clearly controls Pharaoh, and Pharaoh is not acting out of his “free” will to choose. Yes, Pharaoh does choose not to let Moses’ people go, but this is only after God had hardened Pharaoh’s heart. Yes, Pharaoh does choose to chase after Moses’ people, but only after God had hardened Pharaoh’s heart.
In two more different instances, God causes people to act according to God’s will and not their own “free” will. In one instance, God causes men to kill one another. In another instance, the Lord hardens the Anakites’ hearts just as God hardened Pharaoh’s heart. God hardened the Anakites’ hearts to make the Anakites declare war upon Israel so God could totally destroy the Anakites without mercy. Once again, the Anakites did not “freely” choose to attack Israel. God made the Anakites attack Israel by hardening the Anakites’ hearts. The Bible clearly states that man does not have “free” will. Man is always acting according to God’s will.
Exodus 11: 10
10 and the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land
Exodus 14: 4
4 And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, that he shall follow after them.
Judges 7: 22
22 When three hundred trumpets sounded, the Lord caused the men throughout the camp to turn on each other with their swords.
Joshua 11: 20-21
20 For it was the Lord himself who hardened their hearts to wage war against Israel, so that he might destroy them totally, exterminating them without mercy, as the Lord had commanded Moses. 21 At that time Joshua went and destroyed the Anakites from the hill country: from Hebron, Debir and Anab, from all the hill country of Judah, and from all the hill country of Israel. Joshua totally destroyed them and their towns.
In conclusion, the beauty in seeing God this way is that everyone is made and acts perfectly according to God’s will for God’s purpose. It is not your “free” choice to be homosexual or heterosexual. It is not your “free” choice to be an atheist or a believer in God. So, you should not judge other people on what is right or wrong for them; you should judge matters for yourself on what is right or wrong for you, as the scripture states.
Luke 12: 57
57 “Why don’t you judge for yourselves what is right?”

oh wow, you have it all backwards. you need to read the bible and actually come to know the Lord. you are of satan's work and this website is just ridiculous.
You should read "the purpose driven life" you really need to review statements you have made and pray about it. you have read scripture and turned it into what you want it to be. none of those verses back up any statements you made. wow. i am just in shock you feel god is ok wth abortion and homosexuality.
I've read the Bible thoroughly for over the last 7 years and have compiled HUNDREDS of verses that back up the TRUTH that I speak. You should read your Bible and back up your statements with something other than another PERSON'S OPINION or recommending another PERSON'S book. Homosexuality isn't a free choice and I never said abortion was "ok" as I said women should the choice and HATING on people who want to have an abortion is not of LOVE and is wrong! Have some verses to back up your FALSE, DELUSIONED beliefs or your comments will be deleted as only INTELLIGENT comments will be allowed on my blog!
